The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to cross mopping off the to-do list. They have impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other options and makes it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.
It is very quick and does a great job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help pull away debris from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by much. The mop rotates at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is helpful in narrow corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's easy to install and works well however, this is something that you'll have to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile and ad-hoc cleaning machine.
The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This results in an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.
Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction intensity and choose either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to protect your carpets from damage. rugs.

The device is costly, but has many smart features. It's important to note that it incurs recurring costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three month.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has an excellent Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. The vacuum also has an power button that doubles as the 'Clean button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want to have a clean home without spending a lot of time on chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that has microfiber pads. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. affordable robot vacuum made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to keep certain areas of your home from being swept with mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up pet hair. It was able to capture the majority of hair our cats shed, and even found its way into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were nice jingles to inform you that it was in the process of working towards its goal.
The app was too simple and you had to change the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot save multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin as well as an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.
The base has a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert on its application.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
